Mr. Kaul, is the Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of CMS. Rajiv took over CMS in 2009, when The Blackstone Group bought a majority stake in the company. In 7 years, Rajiv led a radical restructuring and transformation of CMS into the world’s 4th largest ATM Cash Management company that processes and manages more than 50% of all cash in ATM circulation in India. Previously, he was a Partner at Actis Capital LLP (UK), a leading emerging markets private equity firm looking after the Technology sector. Prior to Actis, Rajiv spent 10 years with Microsoft Corporation, in various leadership roles in India and the U.S., including Country Manager for India (2001-2005).
His stint with Microsoft India coincided with an industry-defining period for the Indian IT industry. He grew MS India business three fold, while pushing the company to invest an unprecedented $400Mn in India, in 2001. He was also the architect of Microsoft’s largest philanthropic effort in India: Project Shiksha, a Rs. 100 Cr investment towards capacity building in thousands of government schools across India.
Rajiv has a Master’s degree in Business Administration from XLRI, Jamshedpur, with a Gold Medal in Marketing. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Computer Science) from the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra.
Mr. Mahtani is a Managing Director with Baring Private Equity Asia and is primarily responsible for Baring Private Equity Asia’s investments in India. He has been with Baring since 2006, and has led investments in infrastructure, education, financial services, and consumer goods companies. Previously, Mr. Mahtani served as Vice-President at General Atlantic Partners, in Mumbai, and helped establish their practice in India. During his tenure at GAP, he was responsible for India investments with a focus on the technology and financial services sectors. Previously, he has worked for Bear Stearns & Co., Inc. in New York and Merrill Lynch in Washington D.C. Mr. Mahtani graduated with honors from Georgetown University, where he received a BSc in Business Administration with a triple major in finance, international business, and marketing.
Mr. Jamroz is the CEO of STG Holdings, one of the largest network of independent CFS facilities in the USA, since 2016. Earlier he was President and Chief Operating Officer of GardaWorld Cash, one of the largest secured logistics operator in the US. Mr. Jamroz was a corporate and investment banking executive at J.P. Morgan advising companies, boards, and senior executives across public and private companies in a range of industries. Previously, he has worked at Scotiabank, Merill Lynch and IBM in various roles. Mr. Jamroz holds a Bachelor of Arts from University of Central England and an MBA from Schulich School of Business at York University. He was the Co-Founder and Chairman of United Foundation for the Education of Children, Chairman of JPMorgan Junior Achievement Programs and is an active supporter of Big Brother Big Sister of New York City and Greater Miami.
Mr. Pillai is a retired Indian Administrative Service (I.A.S.) Officer from the batch of 1972 with ~40 years of experience at various senior levels of Central and State Government. Most recently he was the Home Secretary of India between 2009 and 2011. Previously he was the secretary, law and justice, commerce secretary at the central government and principal secretary to the chief minister of Kerala among other roles. As Special Secretary in the Ministry of Commerce, Mr. Pillai was India’s chief negotiator at the World Trade Organization. He is a graduate from St. Joseph’s College, Bangalore, a M.Sc. and a distinguished alumnus of IIT, Madras.
Mr. Agrawal is a Principal with Baring Private Equity Asia and focuses on the investment activities in India. Prior to joining Baring, Mr. Agrawal was a Senior Vice President with Lehman Brothers’ private equity group in Mumbai where he was responsible for deal origination, execution, and monitoring of private equity investments. Prior to that, he was with Bank of America’s private equity group in Mumbai and Chicago; Mr. Agrawal also worked with JM Morgan Stanley’s corporate finance group and as an equity research analyst with ICICI Securities. Mr. Agrawal received Post Graduate Diploma in management from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and Bachelor of Engineering degree from SGS Institute of Technology & Science. He has also received the CFA Charter.
Ms. Wong is the Human Capital Director at Baring Private Equity Asia. She was previously a member of the Leadership Advisory team at Spencer Stuart, where she advised various types of organizations on their critical leadership issues such as leadership selection, capability development and succession planning. Prior to Spencer Stuart, she was the Head of Operations and People Development of Booz & Company, Greater China, where she focused on a wide range of talent related agenda – talent acquisition, performance management, people and organizational development. She started her career in Asia with Cheng Xin Venture Capital Corp. in Taiwan. She graduated with B.S. in Biochemistry and Psychology with honors from University of Iowa and M.S. in Biotechnology from Northwestern University. She also received a Certificate in Business Administration and Management from Harvard Extension School.
