Traffic operations analysis
The gamut of activities covers the analysis
for v/c ratio at intersections, stopped
delay and total delay at intersections,
average travel speed on arterials, level
of service at intersections and on arterial

Collection of data on traffic flow, speed,
density, delay, headway, spacing etc along
with computational analysis are done
Intersection geometric
improvement plans
Analysis is done for capacity, delay, LOS
etc at intersections and suitable geometrical
improvements are suggested to optimize the
existing capacity of intersection.
Feasibility study for
installation of fixed time traffic signals,
vehicle actuated and real time area traffic
control systems
Studies are conducted to assess the traffic
flow characteristics. The requirement of
control systems is verified by checking
with respective warrants for the installation
of these systems.
Generation of optimized
fixed time signal plans including coordinated
for arterials and networks, implementation
of fine tuned signal plans
Directional traffic volume, existing phase
patterns, saturation flow, geometrical characteristics
of the intersections, travel speed, length
between intersections etc are being collected
for analysis to generate optimized signal
plans by using TRANSYT 10 software. The
generated signal plans are verified for
the site adaptability and the plans are
implemented with required modifications.
Traffic circulation
plans
Capacity and LOS of existing road networks
and flow characteristics are analysed to
develop suitable circulation plans for an
urban area.
Public transport and
pedestrian facilities
Studies for bus lanes, contra flow lanes,
high occupancy lanes, public transport signal
priorities etc are conducted along with
evaluation studies
Pedestrian volume studies, pedestrian origin
and destination studies, school crossing
studies etc. are conducted.
