RS 485 to RS 232 Converters
  • Connects one RS-232 line to four RS-485 buses.
  • Automatic baud rate detection supporting data rates of 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, and 19200 baud.
  • DTE or DCE operation allows connection to computers or modems without the need for null modem adapters.
  • RS-485 transmit enable may be controlled automatically, or by the RS-232 RTS line.
  • RTS/CTS handshaking capability for use with radio modems.
  • Compatible with short-haul modems and line drivers that are powered by the RS-232 line.
  • Works directly with Power Measurement's M-SCADA, L-SCADA and PowerView software, or with other proprietary software.
  • Full electrical isolation between RS-232 and RS-485 to 750 VDC
  • Microprocessor control allows for future enhancements by firmware upgrade.

Ethernet/RS 485 converters

Netex-100 is most compact, integrated solution available for serial to Ethernet connectivity. Netex-100 receives the data from Ethernet channel and sends on RS485. Netex-100 device uses Internet Protocol (IP) for network communications. It uses Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) to assure that no data is lost or duplicated and arrives correctly at the target. Protocols supported by Netex-100 are:

  • ARP, TCP, ICMP, HTTP for network communications and management.
  • TCP for connections to the serial port.
  • IP for addressing, routing and data block handling over the network

Embedded Bus controllers

Nowadays Ethernet protocol has become the de-facto standard for local area networks. With Ethernet , the network is always available. Using Ethernet for networks in industrial area is appealing because the required cabling is already installed.

The Embedded bus controller is a microprocessor based bus controller with 512 K bytes of static RAM and 512 K bytes of flash memory. One Serial RS-232 port and one RS-485 port are provided. Ethernet support is provided with a 10Base-T media interface. The 10Base-T is equipped with RJ-45 Connector. It also provides user defined I/O lines. A cost effective I/O expansion board with A/D, D/A relays drivers and protected inputs are available .

Clamp-on Current probes

ION 7500 and ION 7600 meters are available with two different options that allow them to be used for non-intrusive applications:

Current Probe Inputs (for use with 0-1 VAC current probes; probes sold separately)
All of the current probes mentioned below are suitable and available as accessories. Probe and cables must be compliant with IEC 61010-1 CAT III protection requirements. Current probe inputs accept 0 to 5.5 V RMS and have 220k Ohm input impedance. This option is suitable for power quality applications and can form a temporary part of a permanent SCADA system.

Current Probe Inputs with three 10A clamp on CT's (meets IEC 1036 Class 1 accuracy)
The meter comes with three M1UB10A1V-10A probes, which are pre-configured and calibrated at the factory. The probes can be used for monitoring 1A or 5A secondaries. This option is suitable for power quality and shadow billing applications.
