The flexible RTU option, enhanced with most of the features
and capabilities of the ION 7500 energy meter, can be
used for a variety of applications where the direct
measurement of current and voltage is not required. The
RTU:
Acts as a low-cost data concentrator,
delivering all collected information over
public or private networks.
Provides extensive analog and digital
I/O options.
Supports multiple communication
protocols (ION, Modbus Master/Slave, DNP
3.0) and advanced web-enabled applications such as
WebMeter and
MeterMail.
Collects, scales, and logs data from
devices
Provides programmable setpoints that can
be used to alarm on out-of-limit
conditions (e.g. peak demand), or to trigger one of the
seven on-board relays.
